AIR TRANSPORT

Airport of grade III serves Songea Municipal. To date there is no commercial flights in Songea Airport serving between Songea and other Regions besides the cherter planes and VIPs Aircrafts. Efforts are underway to revive the passenger flights at Songea Airport .

Marine Transport:

Marine transport is being undertaken in Lake Nyasa between Malawi port and Mbamba-Bay port and between Itungi port and Mbamba-Bay Port in Ruvuma Region in Mbeya Region on the Tanzania side.
